My work in metalsmithing focuses on the design and fabrication of armor, which are mostly made in nickel and brass. My designs use historical pieces of armor as a base, and are expanded into a more conceptual aesthetic, giving each one of my clients a unique article that departs from the normal pieces that are available.

There are examples of armor and protection readily available in nature. Many organisms have natural defenses such as scales, feathers, and even tree bark. I plan to use these defenses as a motif to accentuate my work and incorporate the above mentioned conceptual aesthetic.
